Event Summary:
Tuesday 25 November 2025
8:30 am
Lions Park, Bundaberg North to Buss Park, Bundaberg CBD
Hosted by Zonta Club of Bundaberg, in partnership with Rotary and the Domestic & Family Violence Free Matters to Me campaign, the walk marks the launch of the 16 Days of Activism Campaign 2025 a global movement to end gender-based violence.
The morning begins with a community gathering at Lions Park before participants take an easy 15-minute walk across the bridge, symbolising solidarity and unity across the community. Once at Buss Park, the Ringing of the Bells Ceremony will take place at 9:15 am, honouring every woman and child whose life has been lost to domestic and family violence over the past year.
This annual event provides a time for remembrance, reflection, and action bringing together individuals, families, workplaces, and community groups to show that Bundaberg stands strong against violence in all forms.
Everyone is welcome to take part in this meaningful event of connection and community awareness.
