The DV-alert 2-Day Foundations workshop is coming to Bundaberg this September, offering essential training for those wanting to make a real difference in preventing and responding to domestic and family violence.
Designed for frontline workers, community volunteers, and anyone who regularly interacts with the public, this nationally recognised program equips participants with the skills to recognise the signs of domestic and family violence, respond confidently, and refer individuals to appropriate support services.
This workshop forms part of DV-alert’s Assessment Pathway, providing the foundational knowledge needed to continue toward a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (CHCDFV001 Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence). Participants also have the option to build on their skills with a range of 1-day focused workshops covering areas such as engaging with interpreters, First Nations communities, multicultural contexts, men who use violence, and women with disability.
The program is free for frontline workers, with financial support available in some cases to assist with staff backfill, travel, and accommodation costs. Training is delivered on behalf of Lifeline Australia (RTO 88036) and funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.
