Out of the Shadows Walk 2025
On Wednesday 10 September 2025 at 5:30am, Lifeline Bundaberg and Fraser District will host Out of the Shadows Walks across Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, and Maryborough. This national event brings people together at sunrise to remember those lost to suicide, support those in crisis, and stand as a community committed to suicide prevention.
Out of the Shadows Walk – Bundaberg

The Bundaberg walk begins with a welcome and poem before moving along the Esplanade towards Nielsen’s Park. It’s a morning for reflection, remembrance, and connection, finishing with a shared breakfast.

Hervey Bay’s walk starts at Pier Park, with a poem and welcome before walking through the park and onto the Pier as the sun rises. The morning concludes with remembrance, reflection, and breakfast together .
